Before You Start (Super Important)

Check Skin & Hair Tone

  • Skin tones: Only for Fitzpatrick Skin Types I–V. Do not use on Type VI (very dark skin).
  • Hair tones: Works best on dark blonde to black hair.
Not recommended for white, grey, light gold, or red hair.

Do NOT Use If…

  • You are pregnant, lactating, or menstruating
  • Under 18 years old
  • Recently tanned or sunburned
  • Taking photosensitive medications (ex: tetracycline, ibuprofen/NSAIDs, Accutane/retinoids)
  • Have history of skin cancer / pre-cancerous lesions

Areas to Avoid

Never use on:

  • Around eyes/eyebrows
  • Nipples/areolas, genital areas, anus
  • Scrotum (men)
  • Tattoos, warts, dark moles, scars, or very dark pigmented spots
  • Over implants/pacemakers/piercings

Prep Your Skin

  1. Shave the area first (no waxing or depilatory creams).
  2. Clean & dry skin completely — no oil, deodorant, lotion, or makeup.
  3. Wipe the flash window + cooling surface with a soft dry cloth before treatment.

Power On

  1. Plug in the power adapter.
  2. Press & hold Power Switch for 2 seconds to turn on.
  3. The LCD will show intensity level and remaining flashes.

First-Time Skin Test (Do This Once)

  1. Choose a small spot on your arm/leg.
  2. Set intensity to Level 1.
  3. Press device flat to skin and flash once.
  4. Move to a new nearby spot, increase 1 level, and flash again.
  5. Do not flash the same spot twice.
  6. Check skin after:
    • 30 min (lighter skin)
    • 60 min (darker skin)
If no redness/irritation, that level is safe.

Treatment Mode & Levels

  • Levels 1–9. Start low and increase gradually as comfortable.
  • Change level: short press Power Switch to cycle levels.
    Sequence: 1→2→3→…→9→8→…→1

Manual vs Auto Flash

  • Manual mode (default): press Flash Button for each pulse.
  • Auto mode: hold Flash Button 2 seconds → LCD shows “AUTO.”
Device flashes automatically when fully contacting the skin and you glide.

How to Treat

  1. Wear safety goggles (not included). Look away from the flash.
  2. Place the device at 90° angle so the window is fully touching the skin.
  3. Wait for the skin contact symbol to stop blinking (means full contact).
  4. Flash once (manual) or glide slowly (auto).
  5. Move to the next spot and repeat.

What you’ll feel: gentle warmth or tingling is normal.

Recommended Schedule

Use consistently for best results:

  • Weeks 1–4: 3–4 times/week
  • Weeks 5–6: 2–3 times/week
  • Weeks 7–8: 2 times/week
  • Week 8+: 1–2 times/week as needed

After Use

  1. Press Power Switch to turn off, then unplug.
  2. Wipe flash window + cooling surface with a dry soft cloth.
    • For stubborn residue: cotton swab + ≥70% alcohol, then dry cloth.
  3. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Safety Reminders ⚠️

  • Never look directly at the flash window.
  • Do not treat sunburned or recently tanned skin.
  • Stop immediately if you get large redness, blistering, or burning pain.
